A group of about eight Cedar Waxwings were flying back and forth over a small unnamed lake south of Saxon Lake in mid-July 2019. They were apparently catching flies, but would occasionally visit a nearby choke cherry for a side dish. I photographed them on a dead Douglas fir that had fallen close to the lake, making a good resting place.
