Anise Swallowtail

Found in a large clearcut just east of the Granite Bay Road near Saxon Lake. These cuts have large numbers of invasive plants growing in them, which are attractive to butterflies like the Anise Swallowtail. This one was feeding on Pearly Everlasting on July 14, 2019.
