Floating Islands Lake covers 2.64 hectares of the Granite Creek watershed (outlined below with blue dots). There are salmon-bearing streams in this watershed.

This small lake, just outside of Main Lake Provincial Park, has seven small “islands” that appear to be floating on its surface. The smallest of these is forming on a floating log, and this might be an indication of how the other islands formed.
