The bird in the images below, taken on August 25, 2019, on the tide flats of Hyacinthe Bay on Quadra Island, is believed to be Falco peregrinus ssp Pealei, which is blue-listed In BC. This individual was observed attacking (unsuccessfully) juvenile Bonaparte's gulls. It appeared to be a juvenile itself. Observed through a spotting scope and photographed by David Broadland.
