Latitude: 50° 7’ 37.39” N
Longitude: 125° 13’ 40.602” W
According to Pojar and MacKinnon, the red blotch on the lower petal of this flower distinguishes it, especially from the more common but later-flowering yellow monkey-flower (also known as seepwater monkey-flower) found on Quadra Island. The chickweed monkey-flower is amongst the earliest of flowering native plants each year on Quadra.
