Planned logging on the Discovery Islands
This page is intended to inform interested Discovery Islands residents about the location of logging that may be coming to a forest near you. At this point, the three maps below the comments section show only part of the logging that has been planned. The comments section immediately below is available in case anyone wants to draw public attention to any particular case of planned logging.

Discovery Islands Tourism Working Group map of planned logging
The interactive map below shows cutblocks planned by various logging companies over the next 3 or so years. Use the + or - buttons to zoom in and out. You can pan around the map by clicking on it and and dragging. You must click the blue “OK” button near the bottom of the map to use it.
Click on any proposed cutblock (coloured polygon) to view the logging company, size and proposed cutting date. Note: None of the cutblocks planned by woodlot licence tenure holders are indicated on this map.

Planned logging on Cortes Island
The map below shows Mosaic Forest Managements's DRAFT map of planned logging on its private managed forest land on Cortes Island. The project has not yet obtained maps of planned logging on Crown land on Cortes.
